Irma White Sabol, 98, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Taylorsville, Utah. Born to Thomas Lawrence White and Ida Martha Smith on January 30, 1926, in Clearfield, Utah. She married Joseph Edward Sabol on August 9, 1948, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their union was blessed with three daughters; Helen Joyce, Josephine Doris, and Teresa Diane.
She grew up in Clearfield, Utah attending Davis High School and the Academy of Beauty Culture in Ogden, Utah. After marriage, Joe and Irma made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada; Tempe, Arizona; and Grand Junction, Colorado. After raising her three girls, Irma became a CNA in Grand Junction and worked as such for 18 years. After divorcing, Irma eventually returned to Utah in 1988 making her home in West Jordan. Never one to sit still, she took a job managing a local laundromat for 8 years. Always willing to be a helper she went out of her way to assist others. She was instrumental in leading exercise classes at the local Senior Center. She loved playing cards and games with friends and family. Loving games so much she played weekly with friends at the Center. Liking to stay busy she learned to quilt, crochet, and work needlecrafts. She filled her final years creating wonderful pictures and gifts using plastic canvas. Irma lived the remainder of her days at her home in West Jordan, Utah.
Irma is survived by her three daughters, Helen Sabol of West Jordan, Utah, Jo (John) Taylor of Safford, Arizona, and Teresa Sabol of Euless, Texas; nine grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Arthur and Frank; 5 sisters, Alice Rumsey, Dora Curtis, Nellie Gold, Idella Graham, and Donna Sedgwick; and one great-granddaughter, Caitlynn Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the LDS Castlegate Ward building, 1899 W 7600 S, West Jordan, Utah. Viewing to be held one hour prior at 9:00 a.m. in the Relief Society Room. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment at Kaysville City Cemetery.
