Ivy Ann Lightfoot Kerr

June 27, 1932 — June 3, 2014

Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend passed away peacefully June 3, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 27, 1932, in Jerome, Ariz., to Carlton and Lorna Hollingshead Lightfoot. She married Allen R. Kerr in 1954; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They later divorced. She raised five children whom she loved and cherished and were the center of her world. Family meant everything to her and she loved to reminisce about her childhood and all the family who influenced her throughout her life. She loved them all, and how happy she must be to see them now. She had many wonderful friends whom she loved dearly and included in her family, especially her dear neighbor, Ruth. She retired from the Newspaper Agency in 1999. Prior to this she worked many years for the Bryner Clinic. She was an avid genealogist and loved to do indexing. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many different callings. She was a true member-missionary, always willing to share her testimony and discuss the Gospel. Even during these last few weeks and days of her life she always wanted to have an extra Book of Mormon handy so she could give it away. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and wanted everyone to know what she knew, that The Book of Mormon is true. In parting she said, "I love you all. I'll see you on the other side." We love you, too, and will miss you dearly until we meet again! She is survived by her children, Robin (Basil) Hooper of Nevada, Holly Densley of Magna, Shawn (Cindy) Kerr of Midvale, and Crystal (Robert) Koonce of West Jordan; seven cherished grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Carlton (Ceceile) Lightfoot; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeannie Taylor; brother, Michael; and youngest son, Quinn Michael Kerr. Special thanks to all who helped take such good care of her these past few months. Interment Payson City Cemetery. Place of Birth:Jerome, Arizona
