Jacintita Maria Martinez

Our beloved mother Jacintita (Tita) Maria Martinez passed away peacefully in her home on the evening of March 06, 2023.  She was in the company of her forever loving husband John Martinez.

Tita was born on April 05, 1941 in Ledoux New Mexico. It was in Mora New Mexico where she met her best friend John Martinez in 1961. In 1963 the young couple exchanged their wedding vows and the two relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah where they settled down and began their future and family together.

Tita loved working for the University of Utah for over 20 years. She loved bowling, walking, playing the slot machines, watching the Utah Jazz and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to pass time by crocheting afghans for all her friends and family.

Tita is survived by her husband John, Her children: Mike, Gary (Sherry), Marie (Mark), Peggy, Marcus (Liz). Tita will also be missed by her many grandchildren: Karlee, Sierra, Jonathon, Derek (Whitney), Tiffany (Colten), Shaefer, Ashlynn, Justyce, Cayleb, Ava, Deagen, Aleah, Aspen, Breckynn, Briggs. Tita is also survived by her Brother Lupe (Abby), her sisters Marcella, Teresa and Priscilla.

Memorial Services for friends and family will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday March 14, 2023 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road Taylorsville, Utah.

Church blessing services will be held from Noon to 1PM on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3560 W 3650 S West Valley City, Utah.
