Jack Carroll Jack Carroll, 77, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Salt Lake City surrounded by his family, from causes incident to diabetes and pneumonia. He was born on May 16, 1935 in Altonah, Duchesne County, Utah to Robert Aldon Carroll and Mary Powell Carroll. He married Bettie Mower on June 28, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, May 16, 1961. He is survived by his wife, Bettie, of 55 years, 5 children: Debra Ann Foster, Beverly (Glen) Zabriskie; Rodney Jack (Dawn) Carroll, Julie Kaye Holden, and Becky (Richard) Ewell; 16 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Also two brothers: Don Carroll, and Gene Carroll. Jack loved his family and loved to have them around him. Jack s hobby was lapidary work. He loved to grind and polish rocks and make stones for buckles and necklaces, rings, etc. that he gave to relatives and friends. In prior years he loved square dancing with his sweetheart and traveling. He loved to talk to people and made friends wherever he went. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 24, 2012, 12:00 noon at Cedar Breaks Ward, 5635 South 2200 West. Viewing will be held Sunday, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again Monday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
