Jacqueline Joy Lopez

Jacqueline Joy Lopez passed away the morning of November 8, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was originally from Escondido, California, born on October 17, 1930.

Jacqueline spent the majority of her life in Capistrano Beach, California, moving to Salt Lake in 2007.  She enjoyed watching the snow fall through the window every winter. Jacqueline was a huge animal lover who always had multiple animals in the house, including pot belly pigs. She loved pigs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Betty Weaver, earlier this year.

Survived by sister, Ollie Sterling; children, Erolinda K. Velardes, Bobette J. Velardes and Richard A. Velardes Jr.; grandchildren Sean Miller, Jonah Velardes, Andrew Velardes, Arianna (Ari) Velardes, and Timarie Velardes; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

Per her request, she will be cremated. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter in her name.
