James Earl Cummings

March 25, 1957 — September 28, 2018

James Earl Cummings, age 61, passed away peacefully at the Canyon Rim Care Center and returned to his Mother's arms on September 28, 2018. He was born on March 25, 1957, to John Earl Cummings and Lucetta Walker Cummings. He is the youngest of five siblings. James shared his joy of videos and stuffed animals along with his never-ending stories with everyone. James loved the pets he had over the yearsKelly, Boy Cat and Toy. James loved to eat Arby's Roast Beef sandwiches and curly fries, pepperoni and pineapple pizza, warm Pepsi, Reese's Pieces and Peanut M&Ms. But most of all James loved his family. James' family watched him grow up and progress from living in group homes to living in his own apartment with his cat Toy. James encountered many adversities in his life and blazed through them with flying colors. James is survived by his brother John Robert Cummings; sisters Rae Reggan and Jolene (Vaughn) Swensen; brother-in-law Norm Memmott; sister-in-law Dee Cummings; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. James is preceded in death by his parents; sister Francis Lynn Cummings Memmott; nephews Troy Memmott and Madison Ricks. Thanks to those at Beehive House and Canyon Rim Care Center for taking such good care of James these past few years. A special thank you to Jolene Swensen for the many years she assisted James after our Mother passed away. And a special thanks to our angel sister Dee Cummings for all the help she was to our Mother and James.
