Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, James, passed away suddenly, at home, on October 8, 2022, taking with him a little piece of our hearts to keep for eternity.
James was born January 24,1946 in Tacoma Washington, to Frances Catherine Wallace and Jack Victor Riche.
He moved with his family to Salt Lake City as a teenager where he met the love of his life, and best friend Karen Lynn Sullivan. They joined hands in marriage on May 23,1964 and have been inseparable since that day. Together they journeyed through life with their two children, making many happy memories along the way. He deeply loved his family and would do anything for anyone any time they needed him. His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren who he adored and couldn't spend enough time with- spoiling them and picking at them relentlessly.
James was a US Army Veteran and proudly served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged to reserve status in 1967.
He is survived by his wife Karen; his children Shannon & Darrin Bronson and James Riche & Jonathan Griffin; his grandchildren Austin Bronson & Tashia Francom, Jorden Bronson, and Hannah Bronson; his great grandson Sterling James Michael Bronson; two brothers Doug Riche and Rich Anderson and two "chosen brothers" Curt Ihlen and Mark Holsten.
