Janeil Ann Ames

September 26, 1956 — June 21, 2020

Janeil's Life:

Janeil was born to Lorenzo “Ren” and Ardella Firkins in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her siblings are Delores, Coleen and Lynn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ren and Ardella, her siblings Delores and Lynn, and her husband of 18 years, Allan Ames. She is survived by her sister Coleen Sprague, her husband Roger Payne, her children: Brandin Sartain, William Hill and Charish Moore.

She attended Cypress High School located in Magna, Utah and spent the majority of her life as a homemaker raising her three children.

She will be remembered for her childlike joy that brought a smile to so many faces. Even after a week in the ICU and up until her passing, she was cracking jokes. She loved to go for a drive in the canyon and tell stories about her childhood. In recent years she loved spending time with her granddaughter Thea who brought such joy to her.

After the passing of her husband Allan, Janeil’s health required her to live in assisted living facilities. It was at Golden Living that she met her husband Roger and he remained by her side up until the time of her passing.
