Janet Shosted

My dear sweet wife Janet passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was my constant companion and I will miss her sorely. She was born on June 9, 1936, to Charles Joseph (Bill) Ketchum and Lois Tyhra Ketchum. I was honored to become her husband on March 10, 1955, (later sealed in the Jordan River Temple).

Janet had a tremendous work ethic. She served many people in her family as well as those in our Ward. Janet and I passed that work ethic along to our kids. We did everything together so it's really going to be hard now that she's gone but I know we will be together again and that's what keeps me going.

She was the greatest Wife and a wonderful Mom, supporting her kids and me in everything we did. Having moved on, Janet is having a reunion with our daughter, Stacy, who passed away in 2007, Stacy's son, Cody, who passed away in 2011, her younger brother Tom Ketchum, and her Mom and Dad.

She is survived by myself, Kenneth (Bud) Shosted, our son, Vaughn Shosted and his wife Nancy, our daughter, Shelley West and her husband Guy, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, and her brothers Richard Ketchum (Maureen), and Roger Ketchum (Linda).

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 10:30 AM with a funeral following at 12:00 PM at the Meadow Heights Ward located at 4310 S. 3200 W., West Valley City, Utah.

Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park, 4100 S. 4400 W. West Valley City, Utah.
