Janette Andrews

Janette (Gardner) Andrews, beloved wife,sister, mother, grandmother andgreat-grandmother was reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years early Thursdamorning, March 27th, 2025.

Janette was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 24, 1941 to Earl and Josephine Gardner. As a child she spent most of her time with her family, helping her 11 other siblings, tending to beet crops, picking wild asparagus, riding the ditch bank and working various jobs.

As a young adult she caught a ride to Salt Lake City to start a new life where she met and married the eternal love of her life, Wesley Andrews and a few years later in 1960, they were married. They proceded to have five children; Tim, Rodney, Jeffrey, Janice and Ryan. They spent their time in Sugarhouse enjoying gardening, square dancing, camping and spending time with the family.

She had many pastimes including painting with her China Painters Guild, cruising with relatives, baking, canning, sewing, crocheting, working in retail and spending time with her grandkids.

She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Relief Society President for many years. She was very loved and will be deeply missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, Wes and sister, Carla. She is survived by her siblings Earline, Marilyn, Julie, Lucille, Ida Mae, Winona, Mike, Marshal, Christy and Lorin.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Villa for their care and support of Janette and Wes over the last few years.

The viewing will be held on Monday April 7, 2025 at 10:00am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT with funeral services to follow.

Interment - Taylorsville Cemetery - 4567 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT.
