Jay Arthur Culley

Jay Arthur Culley passed away peacefully in his home September 21, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah after a four year battle with cancer. Jay entered the world February 26, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised on a farm in Hunter, Utah and loved driving tractors and bailing hay. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1956. He served a mission to Western Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1958-60. He married Rona Lee Hepworth in 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from the University of Utah in Electrical Engineering in 1963 and worked as an engineer all of his life. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for all of his life and served a mission with his wife in Winter Quarters, Nebraska in 2006. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all. Survived by his wife Rona and their four children Jamie (Mike) Chinn, Paul (Jackie), Jennifer, Russell (Melanie) and twelve grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Tom Nixon), Bonnie (Lani Haacke) and brother Allen (Shannon). A viewing will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, September 25 at the McDougal Mortuary (address) on 2976 west and 4270 south West Valley City, UT 84119.
