Born October 13, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert H. and Mabel C. Bumgarner, Jean passed away peacefully at home January 25, 2015, at age 78, after a brief illness. Her life was filled with friends from her LDS Church membership, her Granger and Sandy neighbors, and employments within stock market, insurance, and real estate realms. She helped countless families with home purchases as a member of the Ulrich Realtors team. "I like to be friendly with people, no matter whom or what they are. Treat people nice!" was one of Jean's core beliefs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Sundstrom; second husband, Thomas Palmer; eldest daughter, Teresa Sundstrom; and siblings Luana Dean, Barbara Tolman, and Robert Bumgarner Jr. She is survived by two daughters and a son: Lori Watson, Lisa Palmer, and Gary Palmer, 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Sharon Berger. The family would like to thank all of her friends and neighbors for their love. A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015, 6-8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 11 am at the Sandy 13th LDS Ward, 586 E. 8400 South, with one hour viewing prior to the services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
