Jeanette Lucille Bird McReynolds

On Wednesday September 23, 2020 Jeanette Lucille Bird McReynolds returned to her Heavenly Father, while surrounded by her family.

Jeanette was born on June 20, 1950 in Gooding Idaho to Blaine and Nayoma Bird. She graduated from Minico High School in Rupert Idaho where she was a student officer.  She moved to Salt Lake City to attend cosmetology school, where she met her sweetheart Ed McReynolds. They married on October 10, 1970 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.  They built their home in Taylorsville, where they raised their five children.

Jeanette enjoyed life to the fullest while being a mother and grandmother. She was the loudest cheerleader at sporting events, dance recitals and any activity her kids and grandkids were involved in. She spent 50 years doing hair for her “ladies” many of whom became family. She retired in the summer of 2019.  She had a contagious laugh that everyone was drawn to and had a truly unconditional love for everyone. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and loved her callings working with the Young Women and in the Relief Society.  Everyone who met her loved her.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband and her children: Michelle (Sean), Sean (Katie), Jeff (Shaylee), Amanda, Brittany (Cory) and her 8 Grandchildren: Sally, Jacob, Gavin, Kenyan, Carter, Paytin, Aspen and Corbin. Her 5 sisters and  3 sister in-laws and their spouses and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held in her honor on Monday September 28^th from 6:00 PM-8:00PM at the McDougal Funeral Home 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday September 29^th at 11:00AM at the LDS Chapel at 4845 South Woodhaven Drive Taylorsville, UT 84123 with a viewing from 10:00AM-10:45 a.m.  Interment will be at the West Jordan City Cemetery.
