Jeanine Eldredge Van Leuven passed away on May 23, 2018 while surrounded by many of her family members. Her difficult and lengthy battle with chronic pain finally ended, and she returned home to be with her beloved husband, Ray Van Leuven, her parents, Asahel and Catherine Eldredge, and many cherished extended family members who preceded her in death. Jeanine was born on May 30, 1939 in SLC, Utah. She grew up on a farm in old Granger, Utah, with five sisters, Kaye (Charles Graham), Linda (Jay Dale Christensen), Sue (Lonnie Carlile), Sherla (Owen Michaelis), and Julie (Jim Phillips), growing up just down the lane from her dearly loved grandparents and aunts. She married Ray in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 23, 1959, and they had four children, Lauri (Dave Hinton), Jerry (Cathi), Valerie (Kent Ockey), and Amber (Tyler Barrus). She loved her17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Jeanine was a talented pianist and oil painter, and enjoyed sharing these gifts with others. Her family is grateful that she is no longer in pain, and resting peacefully with her dear husband. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1st, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Ward Building, 1945 West 9000 South, West Jordan, where a viewing will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment, Taylorsville City Cemetery.
