Jeanine Goodrich

June 27, 1937 — September 29, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeanine Jacketta Goodrich. Jeanine passed away at age 87 on September 29, 2024. She was born on June 27, 1937, to Tony and Margaret Jacketta. She was happily married to James Goodrich for 19 years before he passed away. She will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Jeanine graduated from Cyprus High School in 1955 and worked at Crown Cabinets for 32 years before retiring. Jeanine was an active member of the Salt Lake Eagles (F.O.E) for 39 years. She held all offices of the ladies auxiliary, including Utah State Madam President. She passionately believed in the work the Eagles did for the Salt Lake community and enjoyed all the service that she did through the organization. She was eternally grateful for all the dear friends she made during her time volunteering with the Eagles. Jeanine continued with her passion for service through volunteer work at the Days of '47 Parade for 30 years, working her way up to co-chairman. She also volunteered at the State Fair in the creative arts building, displaying her passion for both service and the arts. She enjoyed camping with her family, watching the peacocks in her yard, and filling her house with art and memories. She loved attending the Mountain Man Rendezvous with her husband, theater plays with her daughters, and rodeos with her grandchildren. Jeanine was known for her caring soul, her dedication to her family, and her commitment to service. She will be remembered in peacock feathers, souvenir spoons, and butterflies.

She is survived by her children Melvin P. (Lana) Perschon, Jolene (Steve) Mattingly, Martin (Janet) Perschon, Julie (Rick) Anderson, Matthew (Patti) Perschon, and Nick (Kati) Medel, stepchildren Janice (Jerry) Pacheco, JoAnn Kincheloe, Cindy Kaufman, RoxAnn (Clark) Cowley. She is also survived by siblings Tony (Karen) Jacketta, Marge Davis, Rosalie (Tom) Hardcastle, and James (Chris) Jacketta. She had 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Tony and Margaret Jacketta, brothers Ralph Jacketta, Albert Jacketta, Neil Jacketta, Lamar Jacketta, husbands James Goodrich, Melvin Perschon, and Frank Medel, daughter Jeri Wynn Arduser, granddaughter Elizabeth Perschon, and stepchildren Wick Goodrich and Kristy Goodrich.
