Jeraldine Hunter Baum Rubens

Jeraldine Hunter Baum Rubens, 76 years old, passed away on August 6, 2016 in Ferron, Utah. Jerry was born in San Francisco, California on November 30, 1939 to Joseph S. Hunter and Fay Beck Hunter. Jerry went to school most of her years in Cedar City, Utah, graduated from Orem High and attended BYU. Jerry worked for Highland Ridge Hospital for 9 years and University Home Care for 12 years before retiring. Married to Gary E. Baum on November 18, 1960 in the SLC Temple; later divorced. They had three children: Bryan S. Baum (Debra), Cindy Hermansen (Robert), Lynnette Cooper (Adam). Married to John R. Rubens on July 17, 1993 in the Jordan River Temple. Together they have 10 children, and many grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. John and Jerry served in the LDS Family Service Substance Abuse Mission as coordinators for the Salt Lake City area. She loved the people she served. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Fay Beck Hunter; sister, Lois M. Turnbaugh; and her husband, John R. Rubens. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, August 11, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where viewings will be held Wednesday, August 10th, from 6-8:00 p.m., and again prior to services on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East.
