On Friday, January 1, 2021, Jerry Milton Green, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at the age of 72 in Taylorsville, Utah.
He was born February 29, 1948 in Vernal, Utah to Harold William and Ruth Esther (Kanistanaux) Green. His family moved often as his father worked for the Bureau of Land Management, but he called Duchesne, Utah his hometown.
He graduated from Union High School in Roosevelt, Utah in May 1966.
Jerry joined the U.S. Navy March 27, 1967 and served until July 1971. He was stationed on the USS Randolph from July 1967 to January 1969. From April 1969 to June 1970, he was on the USS Saratoga, which was an aircraft carrier, as an aviation ordinance mechanic. He had many stories of the places he saw and his experiences.
On September 2, 1972, he married LaMae Crane and they were married for 48 years. They had two daughters, Michelle and Nichole and was blessed to have seven grandchildren.
He worked in retail distribution for 41 years and after retiring he worked at Dolphin Pools & Spas for an additional 8 years. Being a people person – he loved to talk with others and gained many friends.
Throughout his life he enjoyed photography. Taking pictures of nature, the many places he had traveled to, and the people in his life that he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games and laughing. He loved baking goodies with his two granddaughters.
Jerry converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in July 1992. He was blessed to be able to go to the temple on July 18, 2015. He enjoyed returning to the temple to do temple work. He served in various church callings but did enjoy serving as a ward missionary.
Preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bryce and David. Survived by his wife LaMae; daughters and son-in-laws Michelle and Brian Tanner and Nichole and James Asay; 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; brother Kenneth Green (Carol); many brother-in-laws; sister-in-laws; and nieces; and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Friday, January 8, 2021, 12:00 noon. Services will be streamed for extended family and friends to view at: https://vimeo.com/event/597382. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
