Jerryle Petersen

Jerryle Lee Petersen, (76), of West Valley City, Utah, passed away on June 22, 2023.

Jerryle, born January 1, 1947, survived by wife, Emma Alice Webb (Petersen). Survived by 5 children, Raymond (Rachel), Mark (Jodi), Terisa, Chelley, Crystal (David); 11 grandchildren, Colton (Tiffany), Josh, Courtney (Tyson), Spencer, Jacob (Guilee), Valerie, Elizabeth, Zachery, Kilie, Ryan, Lori; and 3 great grand children. Lost a 12th grand child Andrew at an early age.

Jerryle was a loving devoted husband to his best friend, soul mate and wife of 56 years. He was a caring, supportive father. He taught us family values and to love and support one another. He enjoyed time with his neighbors and friends, who all became family. He was the type of man who was always willing to help those around him.

Served 3 years in the US Army, spending one year in Vietnam. Served as a Stake Missionary, Stake Mission President, and served in various positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Hobbies were camping, fishing with family, rock hunting, and stamp collecting. Enjoyed finding semi precious stones, polishing and silver smithing, and creating various types of jewelry.

Parents Leemon Durwood Petersen and Emma Joy Kirk (Petersen) deceased. Brothers: Thorpe (Quica), Rodney (deceased), Clint (Joanne), DarLynn, Gloriann (Bud), Starla (Deceased) (David), Bryan (Chris), Eris (deceased.)

Funeral services will be held June 28, 2023 at 4251 S. 4800 W, West Valley City, UT 84120. The viewing will be at 9:00 AM followed by services at 10:00 AM. Burial at Valley View Memorial Park.
