Jesse William Davidson 1921 ~ 2013 Jesse William Davidson returned home to our Father in Heaven, January 3rd, 2013, joining his wife, Patricia Lorrine Schott. They celebrated 66 years of marriage last January 6th, they will celebrate their 67th together. He was born May 29, 1921 in Salt Lake City, the 8th child & 4th son of Scottish emigrants, Daniel Davidson & Jane Sutherland. He graduated from Granite High School, and served an LDS mission to the Central States. On his return he joined the Army Air Corp. While stationed in Carlsbad, New Mexico, he married Patricia, and on his 1st leave they were sealed for time & all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. He continued his navigator training in Boca Raton, Florida. There, the 1st of 5 children, Lorine, was born. When the war ended, they were transferred to Kearns Air Base, Utah. He worked for Stravell Patterson, Honeywell, and finally for the US Post Office as a letter carrier. He enjoyed being with his family, taking family vacations every summer, teaching his children to swim, ice & roller skate; things he never could get Patricia to do. He & Patricia were avid genealogists, who spent much of their time at the Church s Genealogy Library. They made 2 trips to Scotland, providing salvation to many generations of Davidson s & Sutherland s and many others, giving all of us the opportunity to do the temple work for them. He served in various church callings and after retiring he & Patricia served a mission to Bristol, England. He is survived by his 5 children, Lorine Taylor (Blaine), Laura McNeal (Phil), Rebecca Versteeg (Kees), Beth Cutler (Dale) & William Jesse Woody ; 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; and his sister Pearl Bringhurst. He was preceded in death by his wife; 3 brothers & their wives, Roland (Lois), Willard (Edna), & Daniel (Mary); 3 of his sisters & their husbands, Jeanette Turnbow (Bernell), Helen Toronto (Lamont) & Betty, & Pearls husband Royce. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013, 12:00 noon at the Kearns 14th Ward, 4232 West 5015 South where a viewing will be from 10-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
