1929 - 2023

Joan Hartley Lund, 94, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023. Born March 25, 1929 in Morecambe, Lancaster, England to Clifford and Mary Wilkinson Hartley.

The second to the oldest of 12 siblings, Joan met her husband, Arnold Oscar Lund Jr., during WWII in England. Joan emigrated to the United States in 1947, she and Arnold were married on July 21, 1947 in the Logan Temple.

Joan loved to craft, knit and crochet. Among her numerous projects, she made an afghan for all her grandchildren. She made hundreds of baby hats that were donated to the NICU's along the Wasatch Front.

Joan and Arnold have 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren. Joan is survived by daughter, Janet Brown; son, Robert Lund; and daughter Tamara (Steve) Benedict. Preceded in death by her husband Arnold; sons, Steven Danny and David Arnold; son-in-law, Gary Brown; daughter-in-law, Connie Lund; and great-great-grandson Gunner Gus Brown.

Graveside services will be held, 11:00 a.m, Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
