Joan Noble Stalder

December 29, 1932 — July 9, 2017

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend was welcomed with open arms to be reunited with her eternal companion. Joan passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones. Joan was born December 29th, to Clyde and Margaret Noble. She was married to the love of her life, Reed Stalder, February 10, 1954 in the Logan Temple. Joan was a product of hard work which she learned from her parents and family. Living and running a dairy farm, she labored diligently in the fields. She has exemplified this attribute to all those around her. The two most important things in her life were the Gospel of Jesus Christ and her family She was an amazing mother and wife, seamstress and cook. (Her roast beef was famous among her family.to this day many have tried to get their roast beef to taste the same. Many have come close, but it is not the same). She loved her flowers and her yard, she loved spending time as a family and was always willing to host the event. She loved to gather us as a family for holidays, birthdays and family home evening. As a family, we enjoyed many years of camping trips, which are fondly remembered by her grandchildren. She was a hard worker. Growing up in the Stalder household, meant a very organized home. Mom had a fantastic schedule. She was always organized with her laundry, ironing, watering, dinner times, bed times, getting all of us to the many lessons and sports activities we did. Because of her love for the Lord, she was willing to serve in many church callings. She played the organ and piano for many years. She also served as Primary and Relief Society President. She was a faithful Visiting Teacher. She served in the Jordan River Temple for 7 years and loved every moment and person. She also served as PTA President at Plymouth Elementary School. Mom worked for See's Candy for 25 years. She learned to come out of her shyness and the customers loved her. We are sure there has been a glorious reunion between our mom and dad along with her mother, father, grand-daughters and siblings. Death is not a sorrow, but a joy.mixed with tears. We are sure there was lots of joy as mom passed through the veil. Joan is survived by 6 children: Cindy (Arden), Kathy (Bruce), Julie (Phill), Fred (Belinda), Jane (Brett), Steve (Kirsty); 24 grandchildren; 23.7 great-grandchildren; brother Darrell Noble; brothers-in-law Dee Stalder and Halvor Hansen; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Spackman, Carol Ann Dorris, Carol Noble, Margaret Noble and Ann Stalder. Preceded in death by her loving husband Reed; 2 granddaughters, Nichole and Kellie; brother William; and sister Colleen. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Sunridge Assisted Living for their genuine and loving care for our mother and the many Paradise Ward members who have watched over our mom through the years.
