Joan Williamsen Shreeve June 17, 1931 ~ February 2, 2012 Joan Williamsen Shreeve, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2012 at home. Born June 17, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to Lorenzo Christian Williamsen and Reta Ensign. Married Arvin George Shreeve on October 22, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Attended Ogden public schools and was an alumna of Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education. Joan is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she enjoyed service in the Primary and Relief Society as well as Family History and Temple work. Joan possesses a deep and abiding faith in our Savior Jesus Christ that will shine forever and live on in the hearts of family and friends. Her wise, kind, gentle, and loving way touched the lives of all her associations. She is survived by her children Kent Williamsen Shreeve, Michael Arvin Shreeve, Jonathan Lee Shreeve, Jennifer (Louis) Knight, Kathy (Sean) Evans, sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister Elaine (Robert) Burnham, brother Lawrence Dale Williamsen and sister Carol (Ruel) Anderson. Preceded in death by her husband Arvin George Shreeve, son Charles Ensign Shreeve and brothers Leland Clair Williamsen and Ensign Boyd Williamsen. Joan and her family would like to extend a warm thank you to the Huntsman Cancer Center, Dr. John Ward and his staff and everyone at the Huntsman Infusion Center. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Oquirrh Point 6th Ward 6270 West 7000 South, West Jordan, where a viewing will be held at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
