John Andrews

John Wesley Andrews, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, returned home to his Father-in-Heaven December 15, 2023, while surrounded by loved ones. Wes was born at home in Indian Valley, Idaho on December 22, 1937, to John "Jack" and Mary Andrews. His days were full of hard work and shenanigans on the farm. He later relocated to Salt Lake City where he spent many years of his career as an industrial refrigeration mechanic. While in Salt Lake he met the love of his life, Janette Gardner. They were married in 1960 and shared 63 wonderful years together. They had five children; Tim, Rodney, Jeffrey, Janice and Ryan. They spent their time in Sugarhouse enjoying gardening, square dancing, and spending time with the family.

You could often find him behind the camera, tinkering in the garage, riding his motorcycle, listening to country western music or caring for his cats. Wes was known as a jack-of-all-trades and was often found doing service for others such as shoveling snow or helping with home repairs. He was a member of the Army Reserve as well as an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served his community in several church callings. He was very loved and will be deeply missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his brother Tom and his sister Norma, and survived by his sister Betty and brother David.

The viewing will be held December 22, 11:00 am at McDougal Funeral Home - 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah with funeral services to follow at noon.

Interment - Taylorsville Cemetery - 4567 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah
