John Charles Clawson

John Charles Clawson John Charles Clawson, age 81, of Salt Lake City, Utah, joined his eternal companion on November 21, 2011. He was born August 21, 1930 to Lance Elwood Clawson and Samantha Elizabeth Stewart in Elko, Nevada. He married Gwen Loreene Schoenfeld June 30, 1957 in Elko, Nevada. They have been married for 54 years. He is survived by his children: Alicia (Gregory) Robbins, Lance (Nancy) Clawson and Jeffrey (Jessica) Clawson, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and brother, Frank Stewart Clawson. Dad was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He then went on to become an airline mechanic for Pan American, Western, and Delta Airlines. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. He served a church service mission for 3 years. He served others all his life and especially enjoyed being surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Georgetown Ward, 5823 South 4800 West. Viewings will be Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley.
