John Allan Ziska

John A. Ziska, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on August 16, 2021. John was born on August 19, 1926 to Alfred and Genevieve Ziska in Cleveland, Ohio.

He married the love of his life, Clara “Bunny” in March 1951.  He graduated from State High School in Ohio and later graduated from Utah Technical Institute where he earned his Associates in Electronic Technology. John served the country proudly as a Sergeant in the Army in World War II.  He was always a hard worker and gained many talents by working as a cook, laborer for the railroad, and diesel mechanic. One of his greatest joys in life was his family. Every time you walked in the door you would be greeted with “Are you hungry?”. You could always find him spending time outdoors. He leaves a legacy of love and devotion and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings.

He is survived by his children Alan (Shellie)Ziska and Donna Ziska; grandchildren Amber (Brandon) Rasmussen,  Josh (Lauren) Ziska, and Erica (Cameron) Martin; and great-grandchildren Madison, Brenna, Chase and Ryder Rasmussen.

As per his request, a private family service was held.
