Every individual is a different flower that altogether make this world a beautiful garden.
Jolyn Anderton, 66, passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2022, after a life filled with more challenges than most will ever know. Despite those challenges, Jolyn was a light and example to all of us.
She attended Hartvigsen School for many years and loved working at the Work Activity Center. She loved Special Needs Primary and her Special Needs Mutual activities. Diet Coke was her beverage of choice and could always bring a smile to her face. Baby dolls and stuffed monkeys were safe and secure when in Jolyn’s care. She lived the last half of her life in a TKJ Group Home where she had amazing friends and awesome caregivers.
Jolyn is survived, and will be forever remembered by her mother, Lorraine; her brother, Steve (Kim); and her sister Stacie (Steve Sheehy); many surviving nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; and uncles are lucky to have had Jolyn in their lives.
She was met on the other side by many who loved her including her identical twin sister, Sharlyn. We feel comfort that these two, who always had such a special bond, are together again after four months apart. They must be having an amazing conversation right now. Jolyn was also preceded in death by her father, Don Anderton; and her brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Brandi Anderton; and others who loved her deeply in this life and were waiting for her as she passed include her grandparents; her favorite aunt, Bertha Kramer; a special nephew, Tyler Sheehy; and niece Tara Sheehy. All of them have been busy preparing for this reunion.
The family will be eternally grateful to the staff at TKJ who loved so unconditionally and cared for Jolyn so patiently for so many years. They exemplified the philosophy that “it doesn’t matter how slow you learn, only that you never stop learning.” They made it possible for Jolyn and her twin sister to continue to learn and live much fuller and more independent lives.
