Jose Ramon Larracuente

September 27, 1931 — February 15, 2015

SALT LAKE CITY Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Jose R. Larracuente, entered into glory Feb. 15, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born Sept. 27, 1931 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Bernardo and Carmen Larracuente. He married Margaret Bustos June 30, 1957. They set up residence in Salt Lake City where they lived for over 58 plus years. During these years he worked as a cement mason for various contractors throughout the valley and was a member of Local 68 for more than 30 years. His favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and listening to Christian Latin/Salsa music. He traveled to several countries around the world, especially back to visit his childhood Isla Del Encanto, Puerto Rico. Jose was a member of Christian Life Center (S.L.C.) Assembly of God Church. He was a hard- working man, one who was devoted to his family and loved God with all his heart. He lead a life of prayer and reading God's Word as a legacy to leave to his family and friends that will forever live on. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, Salt Lake City; children David (Susan) Larracuente, Salt Lake City; Carmen (Rigo) Magana, Greeley, CO; Carl (Kathy) Larracuente, Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings Mery (Rafael) Garcia, Nestor (Fela) Larracuente, Olga Papagiannis, Norma (Nicholas) Rivera, Genaro (Bernarada) Larracuente, Wandy (Hector) Lopez. Preceded in death by his son Gerald Jerry; brothers Israel, Miguel and Wilfredo Larracuente. Funeral services will be Friday Feb. 20, 2015, 11 a.m. at Christian Life Center 1055 North Redwood Road. Viewings will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015, 6 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd. and Friday at the church, 10-11:00 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
