Joseph Albert Whittaker Once a Marine, Always a Marine Joseph Albert Whittaker passed away May 24, 2012. He was born April 23, 1921 to Wilford and Sarah Davis Whittaker. Joe served in the Marine Corps during WWII fighting in the Pacific, for which he was very proud. On February 6, 1945, he married Barbara McDonald in the Salt Lake Temple. Joe loved his family, friends, country, fishing, camping and singing. Member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his children: Connie (Dave) Lane, Sue (Rob) Perkins, Mark (Patty) Whittaker, Patti (Bart) Barker; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Julina Jacobsen. Thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving care of Joe and family. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 2, 2012, 12:30 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
