Joseph Dunyon

"Kent", 70 years old, died January 5, 2025. He was born August 4, 1954, in Ogden, Utah. He was the son of Philip and Sarah Elayne Dunyon.

Kent and Kathy Lynn Nielsen were married July 19th, 1986, in Kearns, Utah and later sealed in the LDS Temple.

Kent enjoyed vacations with family, eating fresh garden tomatoes, and classic cars, among other things. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kearns 10th Ward and had previously served as Elders Quorum President.

Kent is survived by his wife, Kathy; children Rob, Melissa, and Garrett; siblings Denise Dunyon, Carolyn (Patrick) Woodall, Ronald (Connie) Dunyon, Roger (Roxanne) Dunyon, Brenda Paredes, Sharlene (Paul) Campbell, Troy ( Rebecca) Dunyon, and Glenn Dunyon; grandchildren; McKaylie, Keegan, Chloe, Madison, and Christopher.

Waiting for Kent are those who passed on before him: Philip & Sarah, his mother and father; siblings, Mike Dunyon, Marianne Pratt, Kathleen Ford, Jason Dunyon, and Robert Dunyon.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, 10:00 a.m at the Kearns 10th Ward, 5025 West 4865 South Kearns, Utah. A viewing service will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, and then another viewing at the church, prior to the funeral services, beginning at 9 AM, Saturday morning.

Interment to follow at Logan City Cemetery.
