Joseph Mills Starnes died unexpectedly as a result of a tragic automobile accident on March 19, 2015. Joe was born June 9, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Sam R. and Bettye Mills Starnes. He graduated from Granger High School in 1988 and attended Utah State University and Westminster College. In 1995 Joe married Jennifer Hall; they later divorced. Joe worked for the last 20 years in the family business, Starnes Distributing Inc/Star Mountain Gourmet Coffee Roasters. Joe loved people. He was charismatic and had a way of making everyone a friend. This was apparent in his ability to bring new and loyal customers to the family business. Joe had a big heart; he always wanted to help those in need. He helped any way he could and was a kind and loving soul. He enjoyed fishing, painting and wood carving. He was a man of endless talents and the ability to do anything he put his mind to. In addition to his parents he is survived by his children Ashley, Preston and Tyson; sister Susan (Steve); niece Samantha (John) Grundvig; nephew Colby (Taeylor) McPherson; grandniece and nephew Mikenzie and Jackson Grundvig. He is also survived by Angie Rosenbaum, mother of his boys. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, March 27, 2015, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road.
