Joshua Payton

Joshua Payton unfortunately left us on November 13, 2022. He has left behind three loving, beautiful daughters whom will miss him dearly.

Josh loved to cook and was a master at making barbecue sauce. He also enjoyed tattooing and taking his Harley for a ride. He was always down for a good time and always brought a smile and laugh to everyone. He was wild and crazy and those close to him knew he had a big heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and would do anything for them.

He is survived by his mother, Valerie Simonsen (Scott Simonsen), his father David Payton (Kathrine Payton), his daughters Jessamae, Violet, and Lydia, his brother Matthew Payton and Justin McCaskill, his sister's family: Emily Payton, Jo Payton, Krista Maggard, Kailliene Simonsen, Carli Mueller, Kasey & Aaron Bromer, David & Francine Bird, Ana Thorup, BJ Lopez, and Courtney Bird. He will be reunited with his brothers Gabriel Washburn and Nicholas Simonsen.

A funeral service will be held in his honor on November 20, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. A gathering will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
