Joyce Harwood In loving Memory Joyce Esther Peabody Harwood loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Saturday May 21, 2011 at home surrounded by her family . Joyce was born August 1, 1927 in Alden Wisconsin to Kenneth and Nora Peabody. It was love at first sight when Gene saw Joyce in Deadwood South Dakota. She asked him to dance and they've been sweethearts ever since! They were married November 14, 1949. Survived by her husband Eugene, son Kenneth Harwood (Robyn), daughters Janet Crowe (Kevin), Patty Horton (Steve), Julie VanEtten (Robert). She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grand children. She loved to sing and passed her love of music along to her family; she was also proud to be a registered nurse. All who knew her were touched by her faith in Christ, her humor and joy, even in times of difficulty. She will be missed. Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 26th, 2:00 PM at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123. Friends may call Thursday at the funeral home , 12 noon - 1:45 pm prior to the service. Interment will be held at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, WVC, UT 84120 (directly after service).
