Joyce Sorensen Deiley 1936 - 2013 Our dear wife, mother and grandmother returned to her loving Heavenly Father on July 5, 2013, surrounded by her family, due to complications from hip surgery. Joyce was born April 25, 1936, in Midway, UT to Lawrence and Leona Luke. She later moved to American Fork where she graduated from high school. She was an avid member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. On October 25, 1953 she married Simeon Ray Sorensen who preceded her in death. She later married Fred Deiley on October 9, 1978 in Las Vegas, NV. She retired from the Defense Contract Management Agency as a quality control inspector. Joyce had a strong work ethic and a great love for life. She enjoyed water sports, swimming, gardening and spending time with her family. She always looked forward to the holidays and sharing Christmas with family. She is leaving behind her husband and best friend, Fred; children: Marilyn (Roger) Warren, Carolyn (David) Curtis, Tina (Mike) Garret, Lisa Deiley; 22 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren. View 6th Ward, 8435 So. 2700 W., West Jordan. Viewings will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So.
