Judith Francis

Judith Francis passed away November 27, 2014. She was born August 14, 1944, to June Rawson and Raymon Turnidge. She grew up locally and attended Granger High School. Upon graduating, she went to work for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her 53 years of service she was the Executive Secretary for Family History, Audio Visual and finally the Quorum of the Twelve. She married E. Fred Loertscher April 3, 1964, and had six children, Darrin, Cindy, Annette, Darla, Natalie, and Kathleen; and 20 grandchildren. She married Richard Kent Francis on August 20, 1991. He had five children, Holly, Janey, Laurinda, Aaron, and Kevin; and 16 grandchildren. Her cooking was legendary and she created quilts and embroidered items for her grandchildren and primary children. She served as the President of many LDS Church organizations over the years and her acts of service changed many lives. Her most recent service was in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2014, 11:00 a.m., Sunset Ridge 1st Ward, 8107 South 6700 West. Viewings will be held Sunday, November 30, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., at the church. Interment - Valley View Memorial Park.
