Judith Louise Hanson Strong Cheney

Judith Louise Hanson Strong Cheney 1923 ~ 2014 Judith Louise Hanson Strong Cheney, age 91 passed away October 31, 2014 with family surrounding her. She was born October 28, 1923 in Los Angeles CA. to Louis Mollerup and Ruth Parrish and later adopted by George and Louise Peterson Hanson. Judith graduated from West High School in 1940 and attended Steven Henager College with a Business Degree. She married John Strong and had two children, later divorced. On July 3, 1947 she married Earl Allen Cheney and they added three more children to the family, later divorced. She volunteered at Pioneer Valley Hospital for many years. Judith liked camping, fishing, and could spell any word that anyone could think of. She loved to play cards with her sister Dolores and "Bunco" with the family. Elvis was her "Heart-throb". She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother and she will be missed. Survived by children: Karen (Jerry) Ith, Judy (Ray) LeVitre, Sonja (Lee) Labrum, Jolene (Gary) Ludvigson, Doug (Karen) Cheney; 23 grandchildren;26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Berrington. She was preceded in death by parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 5, 2014 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, with a viewing from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment: West Jordan City Cemetery 7800 South 1300 West.
