Judith Ann Coe Stratton
Our loving Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, Judy Stratton, passed away in the morning of June 21, 2024. While our hearts hurt, we take comfort in knowing that she is with our dad Wilford, our sister Tiffaney, our brother Trey and extended family.
Mom was born on August 9, 1941, in Richmond, California to Glendon Lloyd Coe and Mary Josephine Fackrell. She moved back to Utah, with her parents as an infant. They settled in West Valley City, Utah.
She attended grade school, junior high, and high school in Magna, graduating from Cyprus High School in 1959, where she was part of the choir. She had a beautiful alto voice. While in high school, she worked at the Redwood Café, along with her mother.
She attended Salt Lake Community College where she received her AA Degree in Art. She was very talented in art and interior design.
She started working at O.C. Tanner Company in 1962, in the art department, where she met our dad, Wilford. They married on May 17, 1963, and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, May 18, 1964.
Family was everything to Mom. She was very supportive of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, attending several events. She loved making cookies with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and this is an activity that they will have memories of for a lifetime.
Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in Relief Society, and Primary. She was a faithful ministering sister. Mom and Dad served as service missionaries while living in West Jordan and she was a member of the Temple Sealing Committee for the Taylorsville 11th Ward, both callings she thoroughly enjoyed.
Mom is survived by her 3 children, Cory (Karlene) Stratton, Michelle (Mark) Bradford and Troy (Michelle) Stratton, 10 grandchildren, Mitchell (Amanda) Stratton, Samantha (Jordan) Rampersad, Kaitlyn (Thomas) Nielsen, Chase and Savannah Stratton, Emily, Kayla, and Hannah Bradford, and Matthew and Holly Stratton, 6 great-grandchildren, Avery, Easton and Olivia Stratton, Jemma and Everly Rampersad, and Malcolm Nielsen, with one more great-granddaughter expected in the fall. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike (Shauna) Coe, and Doug (Sandy) Coe, her sisters, Linda Perfili, Pat (Bob) Kummer and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilford, her beloved daughter Tiffaney, son Trey, her parents and in-laws.
