Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Julie Ann Oldroyd Cook, passed away March 4, 2014 from complications of liver disease. Born November 24, 1958 in Salina, Utah to Lyle Tod and Diane Larsen Oldroyd. Shortly after Julie was born the family moved to California for the next nine years, then moved back to Utah and settled in Taylorsville. She met Tom when she was 14 and knew she'd found her soul mate for life. She married Thomas Cannon Cook April 23, 1977 in Taylorsville, Utah and they were inseparable for the next 37 years. Julie loved to go camping and hunting with the family, and being a mother and wife. She has many friends and acquaintances. She worked for Varian Medical Systems where she loved her job and the people she met. Survived by husband, Tom; sons Anthony and Clinton; sister Tamera (John) Caouette; brother Lyle Tod (K-Linn) Oldroyd; and granddaughter Hannah Noel Cook. Preceded in death by her parents and sister Lori. The family would like to extend thanks to the transplant team at the U of U Medical Center, all the nurses, aides and doctors involved, you're the best. Also a special thanks to Dr. Martin Radwin and P.A. Deb Plasman for all you did for Julie. We can't forget a special friend in Dr. Scott Sheridan at Granger Medical. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
