Julie Ann Schwendiman McCleary, 55, passed away on May 20, 2022, in Idaho Falls, Idaho from complications following surgery. She was born March 10, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Richard R. and Lou Anne Stewart Schwendiman. She spent the first 11 years of her life in Lakewood, Colorado until the family moved to Taylorsville, Utah. She attended Kendricks Lakes Elementary in Lakewood and Vista Elementary, Eisenhower Junior High and Taylorsville High School in Taylorsville.
At the time of her passing, she was just a semester shy of receiving her bachelor's degree from Western Governors University, something she had worked hard for and longed to achieve. She had a brilliant mind and was especially adept at accounting, bookkeeping, and business management. She was a wonderful cook and loved sharing her creations with others. One of her most special talents was her ability to find just the right gift for just the right person for every occasion. Her family and friends were very important to her, and she loved them deeply. She also had a tender heart and truly cared about and loved animals, especially her own.
On April 17, 2006, she married John T. McCleary in Taylorsville, Utah. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Erica Ann. John and Erica were the shining stars of her life. At the time of her passing, they were living in Star Valley, Wyoming.
Julie is predeceased by her grandparents, Mary and Rex Schwendiman and Anna and Tom Stewart; and her only aunt, Marion Peterson.
She is survived by her husband; daughter; parents; and two sisters, Amy (Robert) Winder and Mary (Scott) Thompson; 3 nieces and 4 nephews whom she loved dearly; and two cousins, Jeff (Tammy) and Tom (Stacie).
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, 9:30 a.m. at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 S. State Street, Provo, Utah.
A Celebration of Life will also be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, 12:00 noon at the Taylorsville 9th/19th Building, 2030 West Chateau Avenue, Taylorsville, Utah, with a luncheon to follow.
