June Emma Kooyman Player

June Player 1922 ~ 2012 January 9, 2012, June Emma Kooyman Player joined her eternal companion, Grant Baguley Player. They were married January 24, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. June was born June 23, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Daniel and Magdalena Van Der Does Kooyman. She graduated from South High School and Excelsis Beauty College. After raising her sons, she worked for LeVoys as a cutter. June loved the Lord and unselfishly served others. She enjoyed quilting, handwork and fishing with her husband, sons and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Nellie Illi, Norma Myrick; and brother, Neil Kooyman. Survived by sons, Steven (Sherrie), of Annabella; and Dennis (Rose), of Magna; sisters, Wilma (Don) McLelland, and Martha (Loring) Hampton; 10 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. A special thanks to the staff of Rocky Mountain Care Facility-Hunter Hollow and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their kindness and tender care, and to Rose Player for all her tender care of mother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012, 12:00 noon at the Kearns 16th Ward, 4731 South 4300 West where a viewing will be held 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services.
