June Farr Anderson

December 10, 1928 — March 19, 2014

June Farr Anderson returned to his Heavenly Father March 19, 2014. He was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Morhland, Utah, to John Leslie and Ruth Ada Gardner. He attended school in Huntington, Utah, where he played the saxophone in the school band. After completing school, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He married Fonta Tatton on Aug. 5, 1950 in Clawson, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horses, and woodworking. He also held many positions in the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife; children, Lynn (Joan), Scott F. (Debbie), Carla (Beto), Phillip (Kate), and Lee (Shelly); 59 grandchildren; brother, Phillip (Rayona); sisters, Mary Lou (Hunter), Cleo (Eugene), and Leila (Richard); and sister-in-law, Mary Lue. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth L.; sisters, Larue and Dora; and granddaughters, Briley and Melissa. The family would like to express gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Veterans Administration, CNS, and all our family, friends and neighbors who have given so much love and support. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, at the Hunter 23rd LDS Ward, 3665 S. 6000 W. in West Valley. Viewings will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, in Taylorsville, and for one hour Monday, March 24, prior to services at the church.
