Karen Sue Echols was born September 16, 1952 in Corning, California to Wilford and Bennell Echols. She is survived by 2 older sisters and 1 younger brother. She attended Brigham Young University where she met her late husband David Craig Edwards.
They were married on August 23rd, 1975 in the Provo temple. David and Karen were the proud parents of 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.
Karen taught 2nd grade at Magna Elementary until 2014. She then joined her husband, David, in retirement. While retired she was a Church-Service Missionary from January 2015 – December 31st 2018.
Karen enjoyed cooking, crafting, quilting, traveling and theatre but above all she enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandma. She loved her family.
Karen is survived by 3 sons, Daniel, Alex, Nick and daughter Kimberly (Josh Crane) and 7 grandchildren.
Karen’s family is comforted knowing that she is reunited with her husband and Heavenly Father.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 29, 11:00 a.m. at the Stonewood Ward, 6030 S Prairie View Drive, Taylorsville, UT. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 28, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT and a viewing Monday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral services. Interment, Taylorsville City Cemetery.
