Karlene June Giles 1928 ~ 2011 Karlene June Giles, age 83, passed away on December 23, 2011. Born April 25, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Milton Karl and Lilian May Mercer. Married Melvin J. Giles on November 16, 1975 in Elko, Nevada. Later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on October 30, 1993. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Worked as a nurses aide. She is survived by her children, Vickie Maupin, Karlene Musse, Walter Leon Hunter, Jr., Archie May Umpenour; grandson, Charles L. Maupin; sister, Vivian Kopes. Preceded in death by husband; daughters, Alma Pearl Howard and Gladys Merle Hunter. Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Rosedale Ward, 1152 West 500 North. Viewings will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Occupation:Nurses Aide
