Karma Freer Webb

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Karma Freer Webb, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at her home in Legacy House of So. Jordan, Utah, surrounded by her family. We express heartfelt gratitude to all those who provided her such excellent care in the last months of her life. Karma was born in Burley, Idaho, Nov 24, 1931 to Lewis Cleone and Ruby Williams Freer. Raised in Burley and Meridian, ID, she graduated from Meridian High School in 1950. Attended Brigham Young University. Married John Wayne Webb June 9, 1952, in the Logan LDS Temple, who preceded her in death. Devoted mother to their 6 children whom they raised in Taylorsville, Utah. Grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren who all adore her. Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Karma served faithfully in many callings through the years. Most recently she served in the Jordan River Temple. Her unwavering faith was the guiding force in the way she lived her life. She was an example to all around her. Karma's open and friendly personality endeared her to everyone she met. She never failed to offer a listening ear and a kind heart. She kept an immaculate house and was an excellent cook. She participated actively in politics, serving as an election judge at the polls for many years. Karma is survived by her 6 children: Tonia (Kim) Sorensen, West Valley City, UT, Gail (Arden) Hess, West Valley City, UT, Shelley (Tim) Belnap, San Diego, CA, Gary (Sandy) Webb, South Jordan, UT, Julie (Todd) Muir, South Jordan, UT, and Kirk (Kalleen) Webb, West Jordan, UT; as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters and brothers, Darhl (Bill) Buchanan, So. Jordan, UT, Sherie (Jack) Brown, West Valley City, UT, Forrest (Shirley) Freer, Mtn. Home, ID, Ferrel (Mary) Freer, Flagstaff, AZ, Loa Webb, Lindon, UT and George (Susan) Freer, West Jordan, UT. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, 12:00 noon at the LDS ward chapel at 895 W. 4800 S, Taylorsville. Viewings will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Saturday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment at Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East.
