Karma Peterson Smith 1927 - 2014 Karma Peterson Smith died peacefully in her home surrounded by family Friday, October 10th. She had a tender spirit with a generous and kind heart. Married Arnold C. Smith September, 1953. She is survived by her children Tawnya (Garth) Luke, Brad (Cyndy) Smith, Dan (Charlotte) Smith, Blaine (Mardee) Smith, Scott (Katia) Smith and Paul (Dixie) Smith. She loved and enjoyed her twenty-three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Arnold C. Smith and her grandchildren Jaesha Smith, Audrey Smith and Ranson Smith, along with brothers Leon and Dallis Peterson. Karma was the first child of James D. and Cleo Idella Peterson. Her brothers and sisters are: Devon (Cleo) Peterson, Burma (Que) Christiansen, Betty (James) Bailey, Eunice (Rodney) Rasmussen, Verna Lee (Chad) Johnson, Dallis (Saundra, Suzanne ) Peterson, Leon (Shanna) Peterson, and Terry (Marianne) Peterson. Karma grew up in Glenwood, Utah and later moved to SLC where she met Arnold and they built their home and raised their six children in Hunter, Utah. She was very involved in church serving in various capacities. Karma and Arnold loved to travel with friends and family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15th 12:00 noon at the Centennial Park Ward, 3372 South Merry Lane (5275 West) West Valley, UT. A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 14th from 6 to 8pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again Wednesday at the church 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
