Karole Jan Godfrey Bawden

Karole Jan Godfrey Bawden, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away November 22, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family following a 15 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Born April 21, 1961 in Miles City, Montana and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho by her parents, Norman & Emma Rose Godfrey. Married Steven H. Bawden, August 14, 1980 in the Salt Lake Temple. Karole was employed by the Jordan School District as a Transitional Coordinator for students age 18-21 attending South Valley School. No matter the activity, Mom was always there supporting us and cheering us on. She loved running, hiking, the outdoors, and spending time with family. She will be loved and missed by all whose lives she touched. Survived by her husband Steve; children, Zachary (Kelsie), Jennifer, Scott (Jessica); grandchildren Camden, Brady and Jackson; sister Sandy (William) Lyells. Preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany; and parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28th, 11:00 a.m., at the Rose Canyon 7th Ward, 14398 South 6400 West, Herriman, UT, where viewings will be held Sunday, Nov. 27th, 6-8:00 p.m. and again Monday 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
