Kathleen Searle

September 14, 1938 — November 18, 2023

Kathleen Mildred Searle passed away peacefully November 18, 2023, returning to her Father in Heaven and reuniting with her eternal companion.

She was born September 14, 1938 to Reed Ezekiel Peterson and Mildred Ellen Menlove in Santaquin, Utah. She married Charles Max Searle on February 23, 1957. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Kathy is survived by her brother Edward (Sue) Peterson, daughters Vickie (Earl) Dowdle, Terri (Kent) Timothy, and son Rick (Kristy) Searle. She is survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Margaret Thomas and Colleen Horrocks, grandson Aaron Dowdle and her eternal companion Charles.

Kathy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in numerous callings in the Relief Society and Young Women's program. Kathy and Charles served a 30 month mission with Member Location for the LDS church. Kathy loved spending time camping with family and friends and sharing her love of crafts with everyone. 

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers of Legacy House of Taylorsville and the staff of Renew Hospice for the care and support that they extended to Kathy and the family.

A viewing will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be at Payson Cemetery.
