On April 10, 2022, Katrina Marie Cortsen Webber left this world and all her loved ones here with grace and dignity. She will be embraced by so many who have gone before, including her parents and two siblings.
Katrina was born April 12, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the fifth of eight children born to Norman and Betty Cortsen. She had much love and devotion; above all to her Lord and Savior and her amazing husband Dennis. She happily stepped into the role of mom and grandmother, claiming bragging rights for 9 growing children, their spouses and grandchildren.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, her River Oaks 6th Ward and extended church family were pillars in her life purpose and fulfilment. She had a great love, compassion and understanding for her family and friends. Katrina served 2 full-time missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, first to San Antonio, Texas, and later to Madrid, Spain.
Katrina and Dennis were sealed for time and all eternity October 9, 1999, in the Jordan River Temple in South Jordan, Utah. They very much wanted to serve a mission together, but God set them on a path of fighting advanced cancer. So instead, they served a truly high-level mission inspiring everyone around them with their unfailing demonstration of faith, courage, and grace. Their faith, strength and positive attitude allowed Katrina to thrive and share for five years. We are grateful to have shared with her those quality years.
Katrina lived her life with abundant faith, strength, and an infectious positive attitude radiant in her bright smile. She consistently emulated Christlike attributes and brought much love and kindness to those around her. Katrina was selfless, always thinking of others and their comfort; giving great care and consideration especially to older people around her. She enjoyed serving in the temple with her husband for 4 years right until the final leg of her journey. She was passionate about ancestry, eager to learn and share family histories. Katrina and Dennis were also avid square dancers enjoying the community among those groups.
Survived by her husband Dennis; her siblings Marty Cortsen, Dan (Leslie) Cortsen, Becky (Ted) Wood, Harriet (Con) Natter and Margaret Cortsen. The Webber children are Bruce, Jared (Julianne), Benjamin (Erin), Adam (Cora), Timothy (McKenzie), Elizabeth (William), Ana (Jason), Elias and Joshua. She loved her 30 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and they love her.
