Keith Hills

Keith Walter Hills, also known as Papa, passed away on June 28th, 2023, at the age of 69 at his home in South Jordan, Utah.

Papa married the love of his life, Darlene, on April 17, 1982. After graduating high school, he joined the Army. Most of his career was spent being a truck driver and from there he transitioned into warehouse management. Papa was an incredibly hard- working man who lived for his wife, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

He enjoyed Harleys, old classic cars, and some good old classic rock music. He took pride in detailing his cars and taking care of his yard. He loved his hair and never left home without a comb in his back pocket.

He was selfless and loved helping out others but would never ask for help himself. He held a special place in all our hearts, and he will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his wife Darlene; his son James; his parents LeRoy and Lila, his brother Ron, and his bonus grandson Keighton.

Survived by his daughter Tara (Russ) Kakala; grandchildren: Halee (Colton) Jones, Wayne (Rendell) Kakala, Colton (Courteney) Kakala, and Preslee Kakala; great grandchildren: Everett, Ellie, Bentley and Kash; sister: Vickie (Scott) Pierce; brothers: Roy Hills, Al (Sue) Hills, bonus son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Rob (Jori), Nacyshla (David), Braelynn, Brixley, Rynleigh, Chaynah (Zane), Brylure, Weston, Taylure (Louis), Kyreigh, and Myiah.

There will be a celebration of life held on July 15th, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the Kakala residence (3180 W. Elmwood Dr. Riverton, Utah 84065).
