We are sad to announce the untimely passing of Kenneth L. Kohl, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. After a short, fierce battle with cancer, Ken passed away on May 20, 2023, in his home, surrounded by family. Ken was 58, born the first of twins, to Karen Ritchie and Thomas James Kohl Sr. in Port Huron, Michigan. In 1978 his family moved to Utah. He met his wife Jaymi Meinburg in high school and they married in 1983. He went on to graduate from Granger High School in 1984. Ken joined the army in 1985 and was stationed at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. After he got out, he stayed in the reserves until his unit was activated for Desert Storm . He served his war time in Nuremberg, Germany, with the 328 General Hospital.

In life he was a loyal, hardworking man who traveled a lot, truck driving all over the states; he has made many many friends all over the US.

He had to miss a lot of family events, but his role in his family's lives was still impactful. On the outside Ken had a serious demeanor, but under the gruff he was a caring guy who was sometimes extremely playful, and a big jokester.

Ken is survived by his wife Jaymi, his four children KJ and (Marissa)Kohl, Whittney and (Allaree) Patterson, Mitchell and (Yani) Kohl, Shayllla Kohl & 7 Grandkids, his mother Karen Ritchie, his father Thomas Kohl, siblings Tom Kohl, JD Kohl, Scott Kohl, Douglas Kohl, Christine Dendinger, and Phil Ritchie.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Charles Ritchie.
