Kenneth Shosted

Kenneth Leslie Shosted (71) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kenn was born on April 3, 1952, in Richmond, California to Jack Shosted Sr. and Florus Jensen Shosted.

Kenn attended schools in Salt Lake City and graduated from Kearns High School. He married Kathleen Carraher in 1978. They had one daughter Jennifer and were later divorced. Kenn had a very successful career in the Computer Programming and Systems Analysis profession in both Salt Lake City and San Francisco.

Kenn loved to travel with family and friends and traveled the world throughout his lifetime. He was a Master Gardner and was always generous with sharing his vegetable garden. He loved spending time with family and friends and remembering them on special occasions.

Kenn was a proficient genealogist and spent hundreds of hours tracing his family roots and documenting family history.

Kenn loved remodeling his beautiful home and always had a project he was working on.

Kenn loved spending time with his daughter Jenny and his beautiful granddaughters Charlotte and Emma.

Kenn is preceded in death by his father, Jack Sr., and his brother Mark. He is survived by his mother Florus Shosted, Taylorsville, daughter, Jennifer Hackmeyer, granddaughters, Charlotte and Emma Hackmeyer, Parker, Colorado, brother, Jack JR (Marion) Shosted, West Jordan, and sister-in-law Sandi Ortiz.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
